Ellen, what is wrong with these pictures?

Can you tell me, what is wrong with these pictures?

Humans are destroying our land!

Gansos canadienses en el parque Prospect. Brooklyn, Nueva York. Martes, 5 Julio, 2011.

This is where the canada geese live. This is what they eat. This is the water they drink. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants the poor people of Pennsylvania to eat these geese.

Tell the food bank in Pennsylvania to ensure that the food they provide to the poor is safe for them to feed their children. Geese from NYC IS NOT SAFE. Would you serve possibly tainted food to your children? NO. Why do you think it is okay to feed it to homeless people?

People, DO NOT accept canada goose meat. It’s contaminated. Canada geese ingest a variety of chemical toxins which are prevalent in the environment. These toxins are absorbed in the birds’ tissue.

When we hear that a city is planning a round-up and slaughter of Canada geese, community leaders are quick to inform us that they plan to donate the meat from the slaughtered geese to food banks. Saying this appears to appease many people who might otherwise be opposed to the round-up and slaughter.

Typically, those who frequent food pantries can’t afford the services of a doctor when they become ill. Consequently, if sickened by environmental toxins in goose meat, the cause of illness goes undetected and unreported. Therefore, it is impossible to know how many poverty-stricken people may be suffering from maladies as a result of environmentally contaminated goose meat. READ MORE.

Patrick Kwan, New York State director for the Humane Society of the United States, “What they are trying to do is make an unnecessary act seem charitable.”

Don Horton, executive director of the Bend park district, “We knew all along that there was a lot of opposition and that taking the meat from the geese and using that meat to feed the hungry by donating it to these two food banks would temper the opposition.”

Bloomberg, STOP killing the Canada geese in NYC parks. They DO NOT represent a danger to humans.

Help save the geese. Give geese a chance!
