Miercoles, 19 de Septiembre, 2012. Ciudad de Nueva York – El Lunes, 17 de Septiembre, miembros y simpatizantes de OWS celebraron por tercer día consecutivo el primer año del nacimiento del Movimiento Ocupa Wall Street.
El primer día de celebración fue el Sábado, 15 de Septiembre, 2012, en Washington Square Park.
El segundo día de celebración fue el Domingo, 16 de Septiembre, 2012, en Foley Square Park.

La agente del NYPD Porter, #1931 dijo, “Cualquier cosa que yo hago es legal”.

New York City – On the 1 year anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street Movement, protesters had a direct action in front of Bank of America, on Broadway and Liberty St. Several protesters were arrested. Police officer Porter, badge number 1931 said, “whatever I do is legal”.

Monday, September 17th, 2012. Manhattan, New York City – Thousands of people celebrated the 1 year anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street Movement at Liberty Plaza (Zuccotti Park).
Un oficial de policía de Nueva York dijo que las activistas estaban obstruyendo la acera y tenian que moverse del lugar o serían arrestados por “conducta desordenada”. Mira el video. ¿Estaban los manifestantes obstruyendo el tránsito de peatones?
A NYPD officer said people were obstructing the sidewalk and they had to move or they would be arrested and charge with disorderly conduct.

Un hombre con una bicicleta fue arrestado. No sé si era un manifestante de OWS o sólo estaba en el lugar en ese momento. No había puestos de control allí, no sé por qué el oficial le pidió su identificación.

Occupy Wall Street One Year Anniversary: #S17 Day of Action
Truth to Power News and the B Media Collective bring you the last of our daily updates on the September 15th-17th mobilizations to mark the year anniversary of the beginning of Occupy Wall Street.
September 17th began with a 7 AM mobilization to disrupt the financial district with blockades and marches. Actions continued throughout the day including street theater, spokescouncils and bank sit-ins, one of which our cameraman Chops was arrested in. The evening ended with an popular assembly and celebration in Liberty Plaza with birthday cake for all.
The weekend of mobilizations was well organized and inspiring, showing that this movement and the fight against corporate greed and austerity are alive and well, contrary to claims to the contrary by corporate media spin doctors.
