Wednesday, March 13th, 2013. New York City – Yesterday, Tuesday, March 12, was the second day of protests after the killing of “Kiki”. On Saturday night, two NYPD undercover officers killed Kimani Gray, a 16-year-old boy in East Flatbush. In 2012, 21 years old woman, Shantel Davis was killed by NYPD detective Phil Atkins in the same area.

There was a vigil and March on 3/11/2013 and 3/12/2013 to protest for the killing of the Black teen and against police brutality in general in New York City. In 2012, police officers killed 21 people in NYC.
RT reports that “Hundreds gathered in Brooklyn’s East Flatbush neighborhood Tuesday for a second night of protest over the death of 16-year-old Kimani Gray, who was shot to death by police days before.”

According to the New York Times, “The 16-year-old boy who was killed in Brooklyn by the police in a hail of 11 bullets on Saturday night was hit by seven of them, three entering his body from the rear.
One bullet entered his left shoulder in the rear, exiting in the front; two other bullets struck the back of his thighs, one in the left thigh and one in the right. Two bullets struck from the front, hitting his right thigh; one bullet entered his left side, striking his lower rib cage; and the last bullet hit his left lower forearm.”
The NYPD says the teen had a gun, however the NY Daily News reports that, “Tishana King says she saw the whole incident from a bird’s eye view in her Brooklyn apartment. She says she’s ‘certain’ slain Kimani (Kiki) Gray ‘didn’t having anything in his hands.‘”
